Lloyds Bank customers are facing issues accessing the mobile banking app this morning (July 31).

Several customers have been contacting the bank as the app is not working or crashing for them.

One person posted on social media: "App is not working this morning, it closes as soon as I try to open it."

Another person said they couldn't access the app on their iPhone, saying it was "frustrating" they couldn't access the bank's services.

One customer said that both the personal and business apps were "crashing before opening". Another person said they had tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but it kept crashing.

A number of customers voiced concerns about not being able to view their funds as today is their payday. One person said: "I don’t even know if I have even gotten paid yet from work."

Lloyds Bank replied to several of the posts with this message: "Sorry about this. Some customers are having issues with our app right now.

"Bear with us as we fix this." A Lloyds spokesperson said: "Our app is up and running, although we know it’s taking some customers a bit longer than usual to get logged on at the moment, and our advice is to wait a few extra moments or give logging on another try.”

Outage monitoring site Downdetector shows there was a spike in issues with Lloyds Bank services from around 6am this morning.

Some customers said they had recently installed an update for the app, after which they had faced problems.
