One of the biggest comedy shows of the past decade is finally getting started on the highly anticipated next season.
Despite being the most-watched series on Apple TV+, the series seemingly came to an end after just three seasons more than two years ago.
However, earlier this year the streamer announced that Ted Lasso had been renewed for a fourth season, confirming the return of Jason Sudeikis’ plucky American Premier League coach.

Over two years since the season three finale back in May 2023, leading man Sudeikis has teased a change of pace for the series in a behind-the-scenes clip with some of the cast.
The short video posted on YouTube features the star with Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple and Jeremy Swift in what appears to be an American diner.
Confirming the surprise change of setting, the caption reads: “We’re not in Richmond anymore. Ted Lasso Season 4 is now in production.”
It looks like the fourth season will pick up after the latest finale, which saw Ted moving back to his home in Kansas to coach his son’s football team.
However, AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton (played by Waddingham) and the gang look poised to convince him to move back for at least one more Premier League season in the UK.
A logline for the season reads: “Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team.
“Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”

As well as the four stars included in the video, both Brett Goldstein and Brendan Hunt are confirmed to return as Roy Kent and Coach Beard, respectively.
Plus, there will be several more changes being made this time around in addition to the shake-up of the show’s setting.
Apple TV+ has also announced several new cast members for season four, including Sex Education’s Tanya Reynolds and Adolescence star Faye Marsay.
Such Brave Girls’ Jude Mack, My Lady Jane’s Abbie Hern, Rex Hayes and Aisling Sharkey will also be joining the cast in supporting roles.
However, one important member of the cast won’t be returning; Gus Turner, who portrays Ted’s son Henry, has been replaced by Grant Feely.
Lead star and executive producer Sudeikis said of the series’ return: “As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to 'look before we leap’...
“In season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it's exactly where they're meant to be.”
Ted Lasso is available to stream on Apple TV+.
