'Most comfortable' Skechers praised by nurses on their feet 'all day'

For those who are on their feet a lot of the day, whether it's battling through a 12-hour shift or simply going out for a long walk, having comfortable shoes is crucial. There are many brands out there that pride themselves on quality and comfortable footwear, but getting a pair that ticks all the boxes can sometimes be pricey.

Popular brand Skechers is well loved for its high quality footwear and comfort. Now, shoppers can grab a pair for less, as the Skechers Women's Summits Top Player Sneakers are now down to £26.80 from £59 on Amazon - a whole 55% off.

The shoe, styled in a Black Knit Trim, features the brand's key principles including being comfortable, innovative, stylish, great quality and at a reasonable price. These ones in particular feature a geo mesh upper with stretch laces and have a memory foam cushioned comfort insole, making them an ideal choice for those who will be on their feet for long periods of time.

The shoe also has a lightweight flexible shock-absorbing midsole and comes up to ankle length, which adds to their stylish aesthetic and comfort. Shoppers will find the Skechers logo detail on the side of the shoe, and if they need washed after a couple of wears, this should be done by hand.

If these shoes aren't for everyone, shoppers could instead try the Women's Holcombe Waterproof Low Walking Shoes for £27 from Regatta which come in the colour Steel Vivacious and are waterproof, hardwearing and comfy. For a slightly more expensive option there is also the Hoka Kaha 2 Low GORE-TEX Women's Walking Shoes for £99.99 from Sports Shoes which come in a range of UK sizes, provide a high weight-to-cushion ratio and have grippy outsoles.

The Skechers have been rated a high 4.5 out of 5-star rating from over 62,000 reviews on Amazon, however. One person said: "Love these trainers, so comfy, fits perfectly, as a nurse on my feet all day I find them so comfortable, would highly recommend."

Another said:"They are the most comfortable shoes I have purchased as a nurse."

"Skechers are Skechers. I have tried other brands and they aren't the same. These are good quality, breathable and very comfortable. I put them on and wore them for a whole day with no problems. Great shoes, I highly recommend them," said another.

Some others disagreed with this idea and rated the shoes slightly lower. One said: "Thought it will be more comfortable."

Another wrote: "These are good Sketcher shoes and fit well once on. However getting them on takes ages. I wish I had paid more and got the slip fits. There is no give in the fixed laces and you have to pull and push and stretch the shoes all at the same time. It's exhausting. I wonder if they will loosen up eventually?"
