Protesters are gathering in a Nottinghamshire town as fury mounts following posts by MP Lee Anderson. The Reform UK MP claimed a man charged with rape in Sutton in Ashfield, in his constituency, is an asylum seeker.
While the claims have not been verified, they have sparked protesters in the town centre on Friday (July 25). A counter protest by Stand Up To Racism is also planned to take place.
